Apollo II European Wall Tapestry | Unique Wall Hanging | Home Décor Tapestry Wall Art
Apollo II is a Belgian wall tapestry. This scene depicts Apollo among the Muses, resting on Heiicon with representatives of literature and history. The original design was by Bernard van Orley, a Flemish Renaissance painter (1487 - 1541). This is one of six tapestries in the Triumph of Apollo series woven in the workshops of Leyniers in the 18th century.
In ancient Greece, Apollo was the God of the arts, archery, and divination. His symbols were a bow, a lyre and a laurel. An elegantly impressive accent to add sophistication to your home décor motif.
